This client had been let down by their initially contracted Fire Risk Assessors. Visits were cancelled last minute, reports were inaccurate or late, or missing entirely, assessors refused to assess multi buildings as they had underestimated the contract… the list goes on.

Initially I conducted just one Fire Risk Assessment for them, including a separate Fire Door Inspection. They appreciated that I arrived on time (a given I thought), assessed the premises fully (another given!) and provided a risk based approach, not a British Standards audit.

Not only this but I identified issues missed by the previous Fire Risk Assessors.

Following the success of the initial FRA and FDI, I was commissioned to carry out another 14 assessments and inspections for the remaining portfolio providing consistent advice, service and fundamentally, I assessed them as Retirement Living environments, not as Care Homes which is often the assumptions assessors make.
